Great Smoky Mountains National Park

November 1, 2021.

Our photographer's guide for Great Smoky Mountains National Park was such a massive undertaking, we made it into a printed book.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a bucket-list destination for outdoor photographers. It's easily accessible for two-thirds of the U.S. population who live within a day's drive, and very popular with over 10 million visitors each year, making it the most visited national park for nearly half a century.

You will find the park nestled within one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world, offering unique photographic opportunities that are both fresh, yet also ancient.

The author has been visiting and exploring Great Smoky Mountains National Park for over 40 years, compiling a list of the park's most photogenic locations. This book groups 71 of those locations into six manageable park regions, each requiring about a day to explore, and includes 195 sets of GPS coordinates so that all of the places written about in this book can be easily located by you, along with 32 photographs with camera settings.

The Photographer's Guide to the Great Smoky Mountains is in print, in stock, and available from Amazon.
