Cabin Creek Covered Bridge

  • Cabin Creek Bridge crosses Cabin Creek on the northwestern edge of Lewis county near KY 984. It is also known as the Rectorville Bridge (Rectorville is in Mason county nearby) or Mackey-Hughes Bridge. Built in 1873, the bridge is a 114-foot single-span Burr truss design. It was closed to traffic in 1983.
  • Southwest side of the interestion of SR 984 and Cabin Creek Road(which is approximately 0.25 miles east of the Mason County / Lewis County line).
  • Location:  N38° 36.565' W83° 37.258'
  • Restoration was completed February 26, 2014.
Bridges To The Past Two Day Tour:
Kentucky's 13 remaining covered bridges can be visited in a pleasant two-day tour and our suggested tour begins on day one in either Georgetown, Kentucky (along Interstate 75 north of Lexington) or Cincinnati, Ohio, continuing on day two at Interstate 64 exit # 172 near Grayson.
