Final opportunity for transition courses

FRANKFORT — The EMS Branch today updated their list of all future EMT-Basic Transition Courses scheduled for the remainder of this month in Kentucky.

By state regulation, all EMT-Basics trained before the 1994 EMT-Basic D.O.T. curriculum must complete a transition course by the end of this month.

The above classes are the only approved EMT-B Transition classes as of June 18th.

It has been confirmed with Karen Brady that she only has 2 people signed up for the class in Campbellsville. Therefore, she will be canceling this class, if more people do not sign up by Tuesday, June 22, 1999.

Glenn Phillips has confirmed availability for more students in the class scheduled for Lawrenceburg.

Everett Scott confirmed that only 1 student has signed up for the class in Louisville with Know How Inc.

A message was left with Nancy Gainer and Linda Cooper, but assurance of availability for students has not been confirmed. You may contact them at the numbers listed above.

***It was confirmed with Bill McCoart that OHRC has a mobile unit and will do a class anywhere in the state that has a need. Contact this agency for more information at the numbers listed above.

THERE IS STILL TIME FOR ORGANIZATIONS WISHING TO SPONSOR TRANSITION COURSES GET THEM APPROVED IN ORDER TO CONDUCT THEM BEFORE THE 6/30/99
