Funeral arrangements for former Lee County EMS director

BOONEVILLE — Everett Deaton, the former EMS Director for Lee County EMS and a deputy sheriff, passed away March 5 in Lexington.

Deputy Sheriff Deaton suffered a massive stroke last month while on duty with the Sheriff's office while treating a patient at the scene of a motor vehicle crash.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Search and Strong Funeral Home is Booneville. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 8, at 5 PM. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 PM.
