LANCASTERParamedic Chris 'Shrek' Hall, 34, died this morning in a single car crash while returning home from his shift at Garrard County EMS.

"Information available indicates his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree," said Charles O'Neal, executive director of the Kentucky Board of EMS.

Because he was returning home at the end of his shift, his death is being considered in the line of duty.

Hall was a full time paramedic for Garrard County EMS and a part-time paramedic for Clay County EMS. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
