Yellow Ambulance EMT Joe Riley dies unexpectedly

LOUISVILLE — Joseph "Joe" Riley, 53, a Hodgenville EMT who worked for Yellow Ambulance, died unexpectedly this morning from an apparent heart attack at his home.

The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Barlow Funeral Home, 2675 East John Rowan Road, in Bardstown (502-348-2844). Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 1 to 8 p.m.

Riley had been employed by Yellow Ambulance Service for two years and had worked the majority of his career at Yellow's Jeffersonville, Indiana, district.

"Joe was an extremely professional, loyal, and valued employee here at Yellow Ambulance Service," said Chris Carter, Assistant Director of Operations. "He will be sadly missed."

Riley is survived by two daughters, Felicia Riley and Bridget Cipolla, and two sons, Brandon Riley and Daniel Riley.
