EMS Golf Scramble format change

FRANKFORT — I would like to invite everyone out to the Kentucky EMS Conference and Expo Golf Scramble this year. This is always a fun event and I expect this year to be no different. If you have never witnessed Mark Harrison drive a golf ball 6 inches into a mud bank you don’t know what you’re missing.

We are changing the format this year in hopes of generating more participation.

This year we will allow EMS agencies to have pre-arranged teams. There is no limit on how many teams an EMS agency can send but at least one team member must be an EMS employee. This will allow a small agency that may not have but one or two golfers to bring a guest, i.e., county judge, board member, etc. to participate.

We will award trophies for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place as in the past.

This year we will add a “Battle of the Air Medicals” component to the scramble and the air medical programs will vie for one trophy which they will get to keep for one year.
