Conference workshop will focus on EMS board responsibilities

LOUISVILLE — A special workshop focusing on EMS board responsibilities will be presented at the Kentucky EMS Conference and Expo.

The half-day workshop, prepared in cooperation with the Institute of Government at Eastern Kentucky University, will cover EMS Board statutory, mission, and procedural responsibilities, and the Boards' responsibilities and roles in general organizational oversight and management, planning, financial leadership and oversight, and human resources leadership and oversight. 

While the workshop is focused particularly on Board responsibilities, the content of the training should be useful for EMS Directors and staff, for other health providers with EMS responsibilities or functions, and for County Judges and Magistrates.

The workshop will be held during the conference's Friday afternoon breakout sessions from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Sept. 21.
