Kentucky Aeromedical Team to be acquired

Kentucky Aeromedical Team Press Release

LEXINGTON A national aviation services company has signed a Definitive Agreement to wholly acquire Kentucky Aeromedical Team LLC (“KAT”), a premier provider of air medical transport services in Central and Southeastern Kentucky.  The deal is scheduled to close within thirty days.  Terms of the transaction were not immediately disclosed.  The operational transition will begin over the next few weeks and should be seamless to the marketplace and will not interfere with patient transport services.

“While KAT’s market share has grown rapidly over the past year, it became evident to us that in order to reach our full potential, a high-quality, safe, and reliable aviation partner would be crucial for future growth.  We believe this acquisition is the most optimal scenario for the nurses, paramedics, pilots, mechanics, and more importantly, customers associated with our program,” said Gary Stromberg, President of KAT.

KAT, a privately held air medical company with headquarters in Lexington, KY, provides critical care patient transport services to the largest hospital and physician groups in Central and Southeastern Kentucky through its air medical bases in London, KY and Morehead, KY.    For more information, please visit www.callthekat.com.
