Trans-Star Ambulance gets bid in Leslie County

PRESTONSBURG — Trans-Star Ambulance of Prestonsburg received the bid in Leslie County on Nov. 26 to serve the county as the new ambulance provider.

Trans-Star Ambulance Service has been providing mutual aid to Leslie County since Sep. 1.

When the old ambulance provider pulled out and left the county with ambulance coverage, Trans-Star was contacted on Aug. 30 by Deputy Judge Scott Smith. Trans-Star began providing mutual aid at midnight on Sep. 1 and covered the county until the bid could be awarded.

Trans-Star ambulance has provided advanced life support to the county.
