Air Evac experiences hard landing at farm accident
Flight crew and other rescuers unhurt

ALBANY — At approximately 13:14 hrs Clinton County 911 Center received a call of a farming accident approximately 10 miles north of Albany in the Pineywoods community of Clinton County.

EMS, fire, law enforcement, and Air Evac Lifeteam were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Upon arriving at the accident scene, a male victim was found to be trapped underneath a farm tractor.

The victim was extricated by the Albany Fire Department, assisted by the Clinton County EMS and Air Evac Lifeteam. The victim was not able to be air-lifted from the scene due to a hard landing of the Air Evac helicopter.

No injuries were reported to any EMS, fire, or Lifeteam member in connection with the incident.

The victim was transported by Clinton County EMS, assisted by the Air Evac Lifeteam, to the Clinton County Hospital where he was treated and stabilized for leg injuries and later transported by Air Evac Lifeteam to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington for further treatment.

The accident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff's Department and the Kentucky State Police.
