Benefit to be held for Shelby EM Director

SHELBYVILLE — A benefit for Shelby County Emergency Management Director Jack Samples, who is also a Shelby County EMS EMT, will be held on Nov. 2 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The benefit will be held at Buffalo Crossing, which is on Ky 43 in Bagdad. (Take I-64 to exit 35 and go 1 mile on Ky 55, turn right on Ky 43, and continue 6 miles to Buffalo Crossing, on the left.)

This is a gathering honoring Jack, who survived a cardiac arrest of over 50 minutes. He was in a coma for 8 weeks and has awakened from the coma and is doing well.

The evening will feature of buffet-style dinner for $10.00 ($5.00 for children) and will include a live auction, raffle, a band, and magic acts for the children.

All funds will be placed in a scholarship in Jack's name.
