EMS rally set for Jan. 10 in Frankfort By
MIKE SWIFT GLASGOW — The Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association plans an EMS rally at noon on Jan. 10 in Frankfort. KAPA will hold a board of directors meeting at 9:00 a.m. EST on Jan. 10 in the auditorium of the Cabinet for Health Services Building in Frankfort. Due to the funding crisis and the effect that it is having on EMS in the Commonwealth, all providers are being asked to attend this meeting to provide input and direction on the various options that the Legislative Committee has put together. It is critical for the future of EMS that Board members, KAPA Legislative Committee members and as many EMS providers as possible attend. After the Board meeting, a short EMS rally is scheduled to be held at noon in the rotunda of the Capitol Building. After the rally, attendees will be encouraged to seek out their representatives and senators to solicit their support for additional funding for EMS in the upcoming Legislative session. The Kentucky Board of EMS will hold their board meeting in the Capitol Annex Building at 1:00 p.m..
