Randy Warner, former state advisor/inspector, died Monday

OWINGSVILLE — Randy Warner, a former regional EMS advisor and inspector for the former Kentucky EMS Branch, died Monday night.

Warner served as the Regional EMS Advisor Inspector for Northeast Kentucky for many years before illness force him to leave state government. 

Before coming to state government, Randy for many years worked for and with the Bath County Ambulance Service. 

Randy had many friends in EMS and emergency services throughout Kentucky. He was know for his willingness to go the extra mile to improve EMS and EMS systems in his area. He stimulated the development of numerous EMT and paramedic courses, launched the Eastern Kentucky EMS Olympics, facilitated local and regional cooperation, and was always available to provide advice and assistance to EMS personnel working to strengthen and improve the quality of EMS care in Northeast Kentucky. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening, Oct. 25 at the Richardson Funeral Home in Owingsville. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 26 at the funeral home. 

Thanks for everything, Randy. You left a lot of friends and a legacy to be proud of.
