MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Kentucky Ambulance Providers
Association is to assist every licensed Emergency Medical Service
in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in providing the highest quality,
state of the art, pre-hospital care possible to the citizens
served by each licensed entity. This mission will be
supported by the promotion of professional standards,
compassionate care, and efficient management of all aspects of
Emergency Medical Services at the administrative and operational
levels for each licensed service.
ORGANIZATION GOALS

To promote the
adequate re-imbursement of licensed emergency medical service
organizations by insurance carriers including Medicare and
Medicaid.

To promote quality
educational standards for all levels of emergency medical
services personnel in order to insure that the citizens of
Kentucky receive the most efficient, professional,
state-of-the-art, emergency medical care available.

To promote the
efficient management of emergency medical services in order to
insure that every community in Kentucky, whether served by
public or private entities, can have immediate access to
advanced life support emergency medical services provided by
competently trained, well-equipped, emergency medical services
at an affordable cost.

To support executive
and legislative initiatives that enhance the quality and
affordability of emergency medical services to the citizens of
the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

To promote the
adequate oversight, at the local and state levels of government,
of all licensed emergency medical services operating in the
Commonwealth of Kentucky in order to insure the following:
(a) Availability
of Emergency Medical Services to every citizen of Kentucky;
(b) State-of-the-Art
training for all levels of Emergency Medical Services in every
area of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
(c) Employment
opportunities and advancement for all levels of Emergency Medical
Services personnel.
(d) Competent
emergency medical care for every citizen utilizing the EMS system.
(e) Diversification
of the EMS profession in order to meet ever changing local, state,
and national health care needs. |
